ECHO Discovery Pitch Competition

Join us to celebrate the graduation of our 2025 ECHO Discovery cohort!

Six teams from this year’s ECHO Discovery program will pitch their innovative cardiovascular health solutions to a multi-sectoral judging panel for a chance to win $500. Then, we will hear from Drs. Heather Ross and Joseph Cafazzo to learn about Medly – a remote heart failure care powered by software and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Ross is Head of the Division of Cardiology and Loretta A. Rogers Chair in Heart Function at UHN. She is Site Lead for the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research, Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and named to the Order of Canada. She is also co-lead of TRANSFORM HF.

Dr. Cafazzo is the founder of Healthcare Human Factors at UHN and the holder of the inaugural Wolfond Chair in Digital Health. He is also a Senior Scientist at the Centre for Digital Therapeutics and a full professor at the University of Toronto, in the areas of clinical engineering, human factors, and health informatics.
